OSCE Mission to Montenegro in co-operation with State Election Commission trains polling board trainers in preparation for presidential election

The OSCE Mission to Montenegro, in close collaboration with the State Election Commission (SEC) organized a two-day refresher training course for 25 trainers on 7 and 8 March 2018 in Podgorica.
Trainers who will be responsible for training more than 100 SEC trainers and 10,000 polling board members took the course developed by the Mission and the SEC in 2016.
The Mission will continue to support the SEC in updating the training manual and providing mentoring for the trainers.
This activity is part of the Mission’s project to provide technical assistance to the country’s electoral management body. It is organized within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed with the SEC on 5 May 2016. It aims to support the development of the Commission in line with international best practices, strengthening its capacities to administer elections.
