First OSCE Mission to Moldova-supported Civil Society Club meeting in 2017 develops project management skills of left-bank NGOs
The OSCE Mission to Moldova held the first in a series of Civil Society Club meetings on 26 May 2017 aimed at developing the practical skills of those working in the NGO sector on the left bank of the Dniester/Nistru River. The event was held in Tiraspol and brought together 20 civil society representatives to discuss best practices in project management.
During the event, participants learned how to develop and manage projects aimed at making a positive contribution to their communities, for example by providing social assistance to vulnerable people or training opportunities to youth. They analysed how to design activities that effectively address the needs of beneficiaries, as well as how to handle challenges that are beyond their control, such as delays in project implementation. The event also provided participants with the opportunity to consider ways to involve other NGOs in their projects, including through the exchange of resources, such as shared space.
“Today’s event was both interesting and informative, and I appreciated the opportunity to interact with other civil society actors and consider how together we can better meet the needs of project beneficiaries,” said Vlad Privalov of the Tiraspol-based NGO Give Good.
This event is part of a year-long project implemented jointly by the OSCE Mission to Moldova and the Tiraspol-based Apriori Legal Information Center, which provides capacity-building assistance to civil society organizations from the left bank of the Dniester/Nistru River. Four more meetings of the Civil Society Club are planned for 2017.
