Students from Mostar visit Bosnia and Herzegovina institutions in OSCE-supported study visit
The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) organized a study visit for over 70 secondary school students and teachers from Mostar that concluded on 27 April 2018 in Sarajevo. The students visited the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Central Election Commission and Sarajevo City Hall.
During the visit, the students learned about the legislative and decision-making processes of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, how to conduct free and fair elections, and the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
Head of Field Office Mostar William Ozkaptan highlighted the importance of young people’s participation in voting. “Those who say they cannot make a difference must know that, if they do not vote, they certainly cannot. A strong state requires the involvement of citizens. Voting is a way to hold politicians accountable for their work.”
The study visit was supported by the City of Mostar.
