A two-day training course on legal drafting and review of indictments, appeals and other motions in war crimes cases, organized by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the Judicial and Prosecutorial Training Centre of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, concluded on 10 March in Sarajevo.
Some 40 prosecutors and legal support staff from across Bosnia and Herzegovina focused on practical aspects of drafting of indictments, appeals and other motions in war crimes cases. The training course was an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and discuss current challenges and obstacles to advancing the effectiveness of war crimes processing in BiH.
The course is part of a wider educational programme aimed at achieving fair, efficient and effective processing of war crimes cases in line with international standards. It is organized by the War Crimes Capacity-Building Project, implemented by the OSCE Mission to BiH and financed by the United States, the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Austria.
