Overview of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in Kosovo

This publication serves as a comprehensive overview of the life and situation of the Kosovo Roma, Kosovo Ashkali and Kosovo Egyptian communities across Kosovo. The Overview covers 24 municipalities where members of the three communities reside in larger numbers. For each municipality, a brief demographic picture and list of settlements inhabited by members of the three communities is presented. Statistical information on infrastructure, employment, education, healthcare, representation in decision making and on return and repatriation is provided for each municipality. The Overview also includes a list of schools attended by Kosovo Roma, Kosovo Ashkali and Kosovo Egyptian pupils. Municipal profiles are accompanied by vivid photographs illustrating the daily life of members of the three communities.
