OSCE Mission in Kosovo holds exhibition “Recycling through Art”
17 July 2018
The OSCE Mission in Kosovo organized an exhibition in June and July 2018 of artwork created with recyclable and used materials by youth between 12 and 24 years of age from Mitrovicë/Mitrovica South and Mitrovica/Mitrovicë North. Supported by the two municipalities, its goal was to promote inter-community exchange between young people of the Mitrovicë/Mitrovica region and to raise awareness of environmental issues through art.
The exhibition was open for 9 days, and included 29 works of art. It was an initiative of the OSCE-supported Interethnic Youth Forum, which brings together young people from the two municipalities to discuss and develop ideas for constructive co-operation and boost inter-ethnic dialogue among communities. The authors of the three best pieces, Fjolla Beqiri, Vuk Miletić and Arbenita Aliu, were awarded book vouchers.
