OSCE Mission in Kosovo marks International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists

PRISHTINË/PRIŠTINA, 1 November 2017 – The OSCE Mission in Kosovo is organizing a panel discussion with journalists, representatives of law enforcement bodies and the prosecution on 2 November 2017 to commemorate the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists.

Panellists will assess the current state of the safety of journalists and recent attacks against media professionals. They will also encourage judicial bodies to address these cases more effectively and bring perpetrators to justice.

The discussion will be opened with a video message by the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Harlem Désir.

Media representatives are invited to attend. The debate will be held tomorrow, 2 November 2017, at the EU Information and Cultural Centre in Prishtinë/Priština, starting from 10:00 am.
