Kosovo polling stations to stay open longer, where needed

PRISTINA, 28 October 2000 - Voters in Kosovo have turned out in massive numbers to vote in the first free and fair elections in their history.
Most voters will have cast their ballots by 7 p.m., the announced hour for the closing of polling stations.
However, every polling station that still has voters lining up by 7 p.m. will remain open as long as needed for everybody to vote.
