Reaching out to young people in civil and voter registration
PRISTINA 2 June 2000
PRISTINA, 2 June 2000 - With an estimated half of Kosovo's population under the age of 25, it is vital that young people get their names on the civil and voter registration. It is this generation that will lead Kosovo into the future.
But to do so, they have to be registered, on the civil register as Kosovars and on the electoral register as voters. Through this, they will be able to participate fully in the development of their society.
The OSCE regular briefing on registration will focus on why young people should register and how they are being encouraged to do so. There will also be a general update on registration.
