OSCE Mission helps integration of people with special needs
PRISTINA, 15 June 2007 - Forty-two members of the Association of Disabled People of Kosovo today received certificates after completing six months of OSCE-supported vocation training for people with special needs.
"The end of training is just the beginning of a new chapter in your life, in which you will obtain a greater participation and integration into society and, through your work, contribute to the development of Kosovo," said Ambassador Werner Wnendt, Head of OSCE Mission in Kosovo, as he handed out the certificates.
The training, which was organized by the Association of Disable People of Kosovo, included English language, computer and hairdressing courses. It prepared participants to apply for jobs in the labour market.
"The OSCE Mission in Kosovo fully supports the work and the aims of the Association and other non-governmental organizations representing Kosovo's people with special needs," Ambassador Wnendt said. "I congratulate them for untiring efforts and great services they do for integration of people with special needs."
