OSCE Mission holds seminar for Georgian and Ossetian students on human rights
TBILISI, 15 November 2005 - Forty-five Georgian and Ossetian students took part in a five-day seminar on human rights laws and conflict resolution, that ended this week.
Organized by the OSCE Mission to Georgia and the Caucasian House in Tbilisi, the course offered an opportunity to discuss practical ways to apply international principles to resolving complicated issues, as well as the history, languages, customs and conflicts in the Caucasus region.
"It was encouraging that the students demonstrated their willingness to learn more about international laws related to conflict resolution," said Ambassador Roy Reeve, the Head of the OSCE Mission. "They have agreed to meet every month and exchange ideas and concerns."
The OSCE Mission helps promote confidence-building measures between all sides affected by conflict.
