Prior to taking up the agenda, the Chairperson expressed condemnation of the recent violence on 9 and 10 May 2015 in Kumanovo, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and regret for its tragic impact on human lives, as well as on peace and stability in the country. The Chairperson also called for preventing violence from escalating. Presentation entitled “Small arms and light weapons and stockpiles of conventional ammunition – the OSCE’s role in the context of international norms and procedures”, by Mr. K. Krause, Director, Small Arms Survey (SAS), and by Mr. J. Sareva, Director, United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research. The Forum for Security Co-operation adopted Decision No. 2/15 on an OSCE meeting to review the implementation of OSCE practical assistance projects on small arms and light weapons and stockpiles of conventional ammunition.
