As a follow-up to the 14th Central Asia Media Conference on social and online media (July 2012), the OSCE’s Office of the Representative on Freedom of the Media will organize a three-day master class on online media regulation for approximately 20 representatives of state regulatory authorities, staff of government ministries, as well as legislators and lawyers dealing with Internet policies and regulation.
The master class will be facilitated by well-known international consultants with significant expertise in communications, regulation, and the legal framework in the field of online media regulation. The agenda combines plenary sessions and group discussions that will provide an opportunity for participants to share experiences, solutions, and concerns. In addition, there will be practical workshops during which participants will be split into groups to discuss hypothetical case studies and draft possible regulatory policy responses.
