New OSCE website provides links to media NGOs

VIENNA, 26 May 2000 - The Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media launched its new internet website today, //www.osce.org/fom

The new website contains regularly updated information on the activities of Freimut Duve, OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media and his team of advisers. It also provides the text of the two Yearbooks (1998/1999 and 1999/2000) as well as a list of specialized media non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and links to the organization homepages.

Other information on the website includes the mandate of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the media; history of the Office; interventions by the Representative with OSCE participating States; an archive of regular reports to the OSCE Permanent Council; articles dealing with the work of the OSCE Representative and descriptions of ongoing and past projects.

The site also provides information on how to contact the Office.
