VILNIUS, 3 October 2011 – On the first anniversary of the elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis, today urged leading Bosnia and Herzegovina’s politicians and parties to continue their efforts to form a new state government.
“I encourage all political leaders to engage constructively to form a new government through the EU integration-oriented reform process. This should be a core element of the programme of the new government,” said Ažubalis.
“A country dealing with the multiple challenges of economic transition and development of the institutions needs a dynamic and stable leadership.”
The OSCE maintains one of its largest missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is committed to helping the country build democratic institutions, establish a sustainable and stable security environment, and protect the human rights of all its citizens.
