OSCE Chairperson-in-Office condemns the bomb attack on the OSCE Kosovo Political Party Service Centre in Pristina

VIENNA, 24 August 2000 - The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner, condemns the violent attack on August 18 on the building in Prishtina, Kosovo, which houses the OSCE Political Party Service Centre, the FRY Office for Co-operation with UNMIK and the Independent Trade Union of Kosovo.
The Chairperson-in-Office also condemns the violent attack on the same day which injured several Kosovo Serb children.
The Chairperson-in-Office calls on all Kosovo leaders to support the efforts of the international community to end violence in Kosovo and to create a peaceful and stable environment in which all ethnic groups can live safely.
With regard to the election campaign for the forthcoming local elections, the Chairperson-in-Office calls on all political leaders in Kosovo to refrain from inciting hatred and violence and to promote calm conditions for the conduct of these elections.
The Chairperson-in-Office also condemns the violent attack on the same day which injured several Kosovo Serb children.
