OSCE Chairman-in-Office to travel to Tirana and Skopje

WARSAW, 18 March 1998 - The Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, Polish Foreign Minister Bronislaw Geremek, will travel to Tirana on 19 March and to Skopje on 20 March.
In both capitals, Mr. Geremek will meet with the leadership of the countries as well as other political figures.
Mr. Geremek's discussions will primarily focus on the situation in Kosovo and on the risk of spillover of the crisis to neighboring countries.
In Albania, the OSCE has headquarters in Tirana, with offices in Skhoder and Gjirokaster. The OSCE also has a Mission in Skopje. Both operations will be reinforced to more closely monitor the situation on the border to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
