OSCE Chairperson condemns Ingushetia terrorist attack
ATHENS, 18 August 2009 - The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, spoke to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov today to express her condolences on behalf of the OSCE participating States over the terrorist bomb attack in Ingushetia in which at least 20 people were killed and dozens more wounded.
"I extend my condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Russia, and my best wishes for a speedy recovery to those hurt," Bakoyannis told Lavrov. "I condemn this terrorist attack in the strongest possible terms. The perpetrators of this hideous act must be found and brought to justice."
The suspected suicide bomb attack killed at least 20 people and wounded more than 130 in front of the police headquarters in Nazran, in Russia's Republic of Ingushetia.
