OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Steinmeier and Secretary General Zannier condemn deadly attack against Russian Ambassador in Turkey

BERLIN / VIENNA, 19 December 2016 - OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Secretary General Lamberto Zannier strongly condemned the fatal attack on the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Ankara today. 

“I am deeply troubled by the news of this cowardly assault against the Russian diplomat Andrej Karlov,” said Steinmeier. “Such a deed cannot be justified.”  

"I firmly condemn the heinous murder of the Russian ambassador in Ankara. We need to build a unified front against terrorism," Zannier said. 

Steinmeier and Zannier extended their condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of the victim.
