OSCE Chairperson Steinmeier and Secretary General Zannier condemn terror attack in Ankara
BERLIN / VIENNA 18 February 2016
BERLIN / VIENNA, 18 February 2016 – The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier today condemned in the strongest terms the terror attack perpetrated in Ankara that killed at least 28 people and left more than 60 wounded.
They offered condolences to the families of those killed and wished a rapid recovery to the many injured.
Zannier said: “Countering terrorism requires joint efforts, as no state can counter it alone. The OSCE will continue to work with and support all its participating States and Partners for Co-operation in their efforts to counter violence and terrorism.”
Turkey is one of the OSCE’s 57 participating States.
