Elections technical success demonstrates dedication and expertise of Central Elections Commission, says OSCE Mission Head
SARAJEVO, 4 October 2010 - Ambassador Gary Robbins, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, today met with members of the Central Elections Commission (CEC), following conduct of general elections in the country yesterday.
He noted that the people of BiH had now chosen their political representatives and that those representatives must now deliver the results the citizens demand.
Robbins also praised the work of the CEC adding: "The technical success of the administration of this important election shows the dedication and expertise of the Central Elections Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The increase in voter turnout represents something we all hoped for - to hear the voices of the people of this country," Robbins said.
"Now we all want to see the newly elected representatives of the people work to find the best approaches to resolving the problems of greatest concern to the citizens of BiH, including progress that will promote the country's European path."
