Conflict of Interest: Municipal councillor removed from office in Bosnia and Herzegovina
SARAJEVO 4 April 2001
SARAJEVO, 4 April 2001 - The Provisional Election Commission in Bosnia and Herzegovina has removed the mandate of Nevenka Lovren (SNS - Biljana Plavsic) as a municipal councillor in Vlasenica for violating the election rule regarding conflict of interest.
Ms. Lovren was removed at the last meeting of the Provisional Election Comission on Friday after being found in violation of Article 7.18 of the Rules and Regulations, because she failed to submit an official resignation from her position on the supervisory board of the state-owned enterprise ODP "Alpro" Vlasenica.
Mrs. Lovren's mandate will be allocated to the next qualified candidate on the SNS list for the Municipal Assembly Vlasenica.
