OSCE Head of Mission to tour refugee return areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, 19 June 2000 - Ambassador Robert L. Barry, Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina will visit refugee return areas in Konjic, Mostar and Herzegovina areas on Friday, 23 June. Members of the media are invited to accompany Ambassador Barry on the trip.
During the trip, Ambassador Barry will meet with the Deputy Mayor of Konjic to discuss the progress of return in the Konjic area. In Mostar, he will also meet with youth parliamentarians and young women councillors to discuss their role in local politics. This meeting will be followed by a visit to Mostar North and South Return Areas where he will meet with returnees.
Later in the day, Barry will be joined by Robert Patrick Jacobs, Deputy Director of USAID in Ljubuski, to officially open the 14th OSCE Political Resource Centre (PRC). Mayors of Canton 8 and political party representatives are scheduled to attend the opening.
Ambassador Barry will also be available for media opportunities throughout the day.
