OSCE supports anti-corruption policies in Central Asia
A three-day workshop about development, implementation and monitoring of preventive anti-corruption policies, and ways to promote integrity and good governance in the business sector in Central Asian states began in Astana on 16 April 2013.
The workshop is co-organized by the OSCE Centre in Astana and the Office of the Co-ordinator of the OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, Kazakhstan’s Agency on Fighting Economic and Corruption Crimes, the Regional Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Central Asia, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
The workshop brought together some 50 public sector practitioners and business associations representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as from Armenia, Croatia, Georgia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Romania, Russian Federation, Turkey and UK.
