Roundtables on legal ethics conducted in Turkmenistan

ASHGABAD, 30 June 2003 - The OSCE Centre in Ashgabad, the American Bar Association's Central and Eastern European Law Initiative (ABA/CEELI) and the recently created Turkmen Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) have conducted a second roundtable meeting on legal ethics in Turkmenistan's capital, Ashgabad.
The event, which took place on 27 June, is part of a series of roundtable meetings on legal ethics that started on 2 May, and was dedicated to ethical and legal issues regarding lawyer-client relations. It included philosophical, practical and interactive issues, and was attended by 15 private and state-employed lawyers from different fields of law.
The organizers agreed to continue their joint co-operation to further develop and enrich the roundtables.
