Conflict Sensitive Journalism – Best Practices and Recommendations
This handbook is a compilation of recommendations for media professionals on how to cover conflict and its consequences. The book highlights issues journalists’ safety in a conflict environment, international standards and practices of conflict-sensitive journalism, it provides tips on media ethics as regards work of conflict-affected groups, etc. The publication is designed for journalists, freelancers, fixers, editors, university professors and students – all those interested in conflict-sensitive journalism. It was produced within the project “Supporting Conflict-Sensitive Journalism in Ukraine” implemented by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine with the financial support of the British Embassy in Kyiv and the International Media Support (IMS) NGO.
