Statement by the Trilateral Contact Group and the Representatives from certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions calling for ceasefire

MINSK, 1 February 2017 - In the area bound by, and including all parts of Donetsk Airport, Avdiivka and Yasynuvata, and also along the whole line of contact, the Trilateral Contact Group, together with the representatives from certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, today calls for:
- Strict adherence to full and comprehensive cessation of fire;
- Withdrawal by 5 February 2017 into permanent storage sites of all weapons regulated by Minsk agreements to the distances defined in them and beyond the respective lines;
- Safe and secure access for members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to fulfil their mandate;
- Facilitation of humanitarian efforts aimed restoration of water, electricity and heating supplies, including through repair of infrastructure.
