The adoption of the Ministerial Council Declaration on Youth (MC.DOC/3/14) last year in Basel has paved the way for more inclusive work with youth. The potential of young people to contribute to economic, political and social development was acknowledged. Having this in mind, the Serbia’s Chairmanship together with its Special Representatives on Youth and Security decided to convene a conference in order to address one of the most worrying contemporary phenomena – radicalization of youth. The network of the OSCE Youth Ambassadors accepted this opportunity to make their voices heard on this issue of common concern and engaged with the Chairmanship in organizing the event, which has the purpose to foster discussion on combating radicalization using the potential of the OSCE, including its cross-dimensional approach to security threats.
The Principal Adviser to the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Juan Barata, will also participate in the conference.
Please note that the conference is now open for registration. The registration form and more information on the programme can be found below.
