OSCE ready to organize next round of 5+2 as soon as possible, says OSCE Chair’s Special Representative
BERN/BELGRADE, 8 April 2014 – The Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Transdniestrian Settlement Process, Ambassador Radojko Bogojević, stated today that the OSCE is ready to organize the next round of 5+2 negotiations as soon as the sides agree.
Earlier this week, it was decided to postpone the round of the 5+2 talks on Transdniestrian settlement scheduled to take place on 10-11 April in Vienna.
“We are moving ahead with the process. We are already looking at new dates for the next round,” said today Bogojević. “I am glad to see that the sides expressed their willingness to meet frequently and to continue working on the issues that are an obstacle for the daily lives of people on both sides of the Dniester/Nistru river,” he added.
Bogojević was appointed by the Swiss OSCE Chairperson-in-Office as his Special Representative for the Transdniestrian Settlement Process, and will hold this position throughout the consecutive Swiss and Serbian Chairmanships in 2014-2015.
