The Artery of Eastern Ukraine
The report is an adapted summary of materials prepared within the programme of measures for the Don river basin. The publication consists of two parts. The first one provides an overview of main water issues, namely the water pollution, groundwater depletion, the impact of climate change on the state of water resources and the aspects related to the armed conflict in the region. The second part summaries suggested measures for improving the state of water resources and presents them as a long and short lists according to the implementation priorities.
The publication is prepared within the framework of “Supporting Water Resources Planning and Management in Eastern Ukraine” project implemented by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine.
