The Young Women’s Leadership Training aims to empower young women to act as advocates for women’s rights and gender equality.
Thirty young women academics, representatives of governmental structures, gender equality advocates, women working in business and private sector, as well as journalists, all under the age 35 will participate in the five-day training programme.
The training sets up a creative space to strengthen capacities and solidarity among young women. The programme will focus on leadership, communications and gender equality, while exploring the history of women’s rights in Belarus and the OSCE region. Prominent Belarusian women leaders will share their experience with participants on what it means to be a female leader in Belarus.
The training is organized in the framework of a Women’s Participation and Leadership component of the EU-funded Project on Promoting Democratization and Human Rights in Belarus.
