The OSCE Mission works with religious leaders, young people and school officials to promote tolerance, inter-community and inter-faith dialogue and acceptance of diversity in Kosovo. It advises institutions on how to improve and implement anti-discrimination legislation and policies that promote inter-community relations.
The Mission continues to address concerns related to hate crimes by monitoring such cases, by assisting the Kosovo Police and Ministry of Internal Affairs in implementing the inter-agency agreement aimed at enhancing the management of hate crimes, and by empowering the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo, the Ombudsperson, legal professionals and civil society in following-up these cases in compliance with human rights.
The Mission closely co-operates with the Kosovo Academy of Justice and Kosovo Bar Association to ensure continuous legal education for judges and lawyers on litigating and adjudicating discrimination cases.
