OSCE Secretariat
Who we are
The OSCE Secretariat, under the direction of the Secretary General, provides operational support to the Organization and assists the Chairmanship in its activities by offering expertise, providing analysis and drafting decisions in the areas such as border management, combating human trafficking, combating terrorism, conflict prevention and resolution, economic and environmental activities, gender equality and policing.
The Secretariat was established by the Charter of Paris for a New Europe in 1990. Based in Vienna, it also comprises the OSCE Documentation Centre in Prague.
