OSCE Office in Yerevan (closed)
The OSCE Office in Yerevan started its activities on 16 February 2000 and discontinued its operations on 31 August 2017.
According to its mandate, the Office was entrusted with:
- Promoting the implementation of OSCE principles and commitments as well as the co-operation of the Republic of Armenia within the OSCE framework, in all OSCE dimensions, including the human, political, economic and environmental aspects of security and stability;
- Facilitating contacts, co-ordinating activities and promoting information exchange with the Chairperson-in-Office and other OSCE institutions as well as co-operation with international organizations and institutions;
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with local authorities, universities, research institutions and NGOs and assisting in arranging events with OSCE participation;
- Performing other tasks deemed appropriate by the Chairperson-in-Office or other OSCE institutions and agreed on between the Republic of Armenia and the OSCE.
