Simulation of Arbitral Proceedings under the Convention on Conciliation and Arbitration within OSCE.
The Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana will gather university and secondary school students as well as young professionals from all around the world for the 11th edition of the MUNLAWS conference.
In the framework of the MUNLAWS conference, a student committee will simulate arbitral proceedings under the provisions of the Convention on Conciliation and Arbitration within the OSCE for the fourth time. This year’s fictional case deals with a dispute involving two States over cyber security and artificial intelligence. Students participating in this Moot Court are expected to prepare a written memorial and counter-memorial, followed by an oral presentation of their legal arguments to arbitrators.
The conference is aimed to prepare students to matters related to international organizations and to engage in diplomatic debates about current topics in the international community. The international conference is attended by more than 150 students from over 30 countries around the world each year.
The MUNLAWs conference is currently open to receive applications from interested students. The time limit to apply is 24 November 2023.
Please consult MUNLAW’s website for the application procedure.
